Primary Responsibilities: To support physicians with tools and education to code services appropriately and ensure proper compliance and reimbursement Research & resolve ICD-9 and CPT4 coding related issues Update and create coding and charge documents Communicate coding/billing updates and changes to providers Provide ongoing chart audit services to ensure compliance with coding guidelines, correct coding initiatives in addition to Governmental regulations compliance Timely preparation of hospital billing documents and IDX BAR charge entry To perform various clerical and computer entry duties for physicians This position reports to the Cardiology Coding Reimbursement Supervisor/Clinic Administrator You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: Associates Degree or 2+ years of billing/charge entry CPT/ICD-9 coding experience Successful completion of IDX Bar Charge entry/coding class. Bar overview (Within 4 weeks from date of hire) 2+ years of insurance/medical business administration experience Experience in ICD9/CPT coding and clinic/hospital charge posting experience Experience & proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet applications on PC Ability to speak & write English Ability to type 30 wpm, basic math skills, data input Microsoft office 10 key touch Knowledge of anatomy and physiology on the cardiovascular system Preferred Qualifications: Associate or Bachelor's Degree Coding & Reimbursement certification Coding & Reimbursement experience IDX experience Ability to code for cardiac and peripheral vascular invasive procedures Understand coding for cardiology and radiology as it as it relates to interventional cardiology Understand abdominal aortic aneurysm stenting procedures Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $23.89 to $42.69 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
