Job Description

A speech-language pathologist (SLP) position is available to provide specialized therapy services within early childhood education settings in Adams and York Counties, Pennsylvania. This role serves preschool-aged children (3 to 5 years old) with special needs, delivering therapy across multiple locations including preschool special education classrooms, head starts, PreK Counts classes, daycares, and community preschools. Key Responsibilities: Deliver speech-language therapy to preschool students with diverse communication needs. Provide services to walk-in students brought in by parents. Manage a caseload expected to reach 55 students by the end of the year. Travel daily between designated sites, including the York Learning Center (York County) and a location in New Oxford (Adams County). Participate in IEP meetings and complete paperwork for approximately half a day each week. Work a 35-hour week over 188 days on a preschool stretch calendar. Maintain compliance with Early Intervention program requirements. Supervision will be provided for candidates holding a Clinical Fellowship (CF); agencies must cover supervision costs. Qualifications: PA state certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist required. Early intervention and preschool experience preferred. Ability to manage caseload and travel between multiple buildings efficiently. Experience working independently and as part of an educational team. SLP assistants are not supported in this assignment, and VOCO devices cannot be used here. Location: Position based out of either York Learning Center, 300 E Seventh Ave, York, PA, or 65 Billerbeck St, New Oxford, PA, with travel to multiple preschool sites across Adams and York Counties.
