What You'll Do You'll practice a dynamic mix of: Community MedicineProvide equity-focused accessible care that meets families where they areSupport pet retention and keep animals with the people who love themDeliver common-sense, incremental care for a wide range of patients and conditions - from wellness and preventative care to sick visits, chronic disease management, and palliative end-of-life care SurgeryPerform high-volume, High-quality spay/neuterProvide elective surgery and safety-net emergency surgeryOversee and perform sedated procedures and dentistry Shelter MedicineApply population health and flow-through decision-makingRotate through daily medical rounds and treatments, collaborating across departments and with partner shelters You'll work alongside a deeply skilled team of DVMs, RVTs, and animal care professionals who practice at the top of their license and training. You will help launch the expansion of our public services toward a 7-day-a-week procedures and medical clinic, integrating clinical excellence with access, compassion, and smart resource use. We thrive on collaboration - across our organization and within our community. You'll partner with innovative programs throughout Sonoma County and the Bay Area, helping shape what modern shelter medicine will be.
