When you come work for The Arlington of Naples, you are joining a company that truly values its employees in all aspects of life...General Summary: The Manager of Admissions & Outreach is responsible for the recruitment and assessment of potential residents for The Arlington of Naples. The Manager of Admissions & Outreach manages the Health Center admissions process and maintains relationships with physicians, discharge planners, and other care providers as well as prospective residents/guests and their families. Complies with all federal, state and local regulations including corporate compliance, HIPAA Privacy Standards and Fair Housing Act. Essential Job Functions: Responsible for meeting the heath center's sales and occupancy levels in accordance with the strategic marketing plan. Results will be achieved through coordinating with Independent Living needs and strategic networking with area professionals, including but not limited to, presentations at the community and the surrounding community at-large, health center tours, follow-up telephone calls and appointments to keep the professionals informed. Develops positive relationships with the discharge planners, physicians and families, marketing The Birches programs and services. Assesses potential residents/guests, reviews their medical records, and determines whether they should be admitted for care in collaboration with physicians, nurses, therapists, social workers, case managers and other interdisciplinary team members. Obtains prior authorizations as required. Reviews all admission related paperwork with the resident and or/responsible party including financial data, signatures, pertinent social information and medical information, attending physician information, Medicare Part A coverage and non-coverage procedures, and other pertinent and required documentation. Coordinate pre-admission process to include clinical communication of needs, pharmacy needs, financial information, durable medical equipment needs, etc. Manages Salesforce data entry daily. Manages the health center's public relations to include health fairs, screenings, center education programs (CEU's), and outreach. Works in conjunction with LCS to create and disseminate relevant marketing collateral. Manages community social media presence. Informs the Interdisciplinary Team of on-going daily census activity such as admissions, discharges, deaths, room transfers, changes in payment methods, and temporary and permanent apartment status. Welcomes newly admitted residents to the community upon admission or prior. Participate in local organizations identified as bringing value, by making presentations and joining as a member where appropriate, in order to facilitate a broader knowledge of the industry and of the health care center's capabilities. Maintains complete confidentiality regarding admission information and resident records. Assists in coordinating admissions/transfers/discharges with other departments. Other duties as assigned by the Administrator QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of associate's degree in nursing, physical, occupational or speech therapy, or other health related field required. RN/LPN degree is preferred but not required. Good working knowledge of Medicare Part A/HMOs/Insurances, certification procedures, and medical terminology. 1+ year of long-term care experience is preferable. Able to work flexible hours. Familiar with federal and state regulations and requirements for long-term care. Must possess excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to juggle multiple priorities. Case management experiences a plus. Position requires frequent, local off-property travel. Must possess reliable transportation.
