Immediate Opportunities Available: These full-time, career Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) positions come with competitive salaries and excellent benefits. Your duty assignment may include various locations along the Southwest Border, based on operational needs. Salary and Benefits: Base Salary: GL-9/GS-11 ranges from $63,148 - $120,145 per year. Locality Pay: Varies depending on your duty location. Overtime Pay: Up to an additional 25%. Career Advancement: Progression from GL-9 to GS-12 without reapplying after successful completion of service at each level. Generous federal employment benefits including health plans, annual and sick leave, and a retirement plan similar to a 401(k). Recruitment Incentive: Newly hired Border Patrol Agents may receive up to $20,000 in recruitment incentives, paid in two installments upon academy completion and assignment to prioritized locations. Retention Incentive: Eligible agents may qualify for up to $40,000 in additional incentives over their first four years of service. Key Responsibilities: As a BPA, you will: Conduct surveillance and inspections to deter illegal activity. Apprehend individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws. Perform patrols using various government assets including vehicles and watercraft. Utilize intelligence for tracking and investigating illegal operations. Qualifications: To qualify, applicants must meet specific experience criteria based on grade levels GL-9 and GS-11, including specialized law enforcement duties.
