Job Title: Industrial SewerLocation: Muskego, WIPay Rate: $19.00 per hourJob Type: Temp-to-HireShift: 1st ShiftJob SummaryWe are seeking a dependable Industrial Sewer to join a manufacturing team in Muskego, WI. This position involves operating industrial sewing machines to assemble vinyl and other heavy-duty fabrics used in industrial products. The ideal candidate will have prior sewing experience and the ability to work with precision while following production instructions.This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering consistent hours and the potential for long-term employment with a growing manufacturing company.Key Responsibilities Operate single and double needle industrial sewing machines to sew vinyl and various industrial fabrics. Review work orders and verify proper materials, colors, and quantities prior to production. Measure and inspect parts to ensure correct dimensions and quality standards. Lay out and position materials accurately according to guide marks and instructions. Attach components such as logos, pleats, pockets, windows, Velcro, foam, guide strips, and other fabric elements. Change thread and bobbins and adjust machine tension to maintain proper stitching quality. Assist with handling and sewing heavier materials when needed. Perform finishing tasks such as inserting fiberglass stays and installing grommets using a grommet machine. Perform minor machine maintenance including cleaning, oiling, and replacing needles. Operate supporting equipment such as punching machines, band saws, and heat sealing machines as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety procedures. Assist with other production duties as assigned. Qualifications 6-12 months of sewing experience required. Experience operating industrial sewing machines preferred. Ability to read and follow sewing instructions and production work orders. Comfortable using basic hand tools such as utility knives, glue guns, tin snips, and vice grips. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and regularly move up to 25 lbs . Frequent sitting while operating sewing machines. Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching. Ability to perform close, detailed work requiring good vision and focus. Work Environment Manufacturing environment with moving machinery and production equipment. Exposure to loud noise levels in production areas. Safety glasses and steel-toe shoes required while working in manufacturing areas.
