PAYROLL SPECIALIST- HAYNES FURNITURE COMPANY

Description The Payroll Specialist is responsible for oversight of the day-to-day functions of the Payroll Department. Prepare weekly, bi-weekly and semi-monthly tax deposits for all companies Prepare quarterly taxes, FUTA, SUTA, State, Local and 941's for all companies Balance payroll and tax deposits on a per-pay-period basis Prepare monthly accruals and journal entries Prepare Year End W2, Year End Reports Account Reconciliation for all payroll associate GL accounts Timely filing of all Federal, State, Local, and Municipal taxes Prepare reports as needed Prepare 401(k) file by weekly, bi-weekly and salaried associates each payday Handle day-to-day problems and questions with associates Support Benefit Audit and Annual External Audit Requirements2-3 years of experience minimum. Payroll certification preferred, but not required. Kronos/UKG experience a plus. Minimum three years payroll experience required; some supervisory experience strongly preferred. Strong math skills required; analytical skills are important. Excellent communication and writing skills; strong interpersonal skills and knowledge of PC necessary Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft suite with emphasis on excel is required
