HR Generalist - Transportation & Logistics | $70K-$90K Are you an experienced HR Generalist looking to grow your career in a fast-paced, diverse, and people-focused environment? We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources professional to support a mid-sized transportation and logistics organization with both office and field-based employees. This role is ideal for someone with strong benefits administration, recruiting, and HR compliance experience who thrives in a dynamic, multi-tasking environment. Position Overview The HR Generalist will support day-to-day Human Resources operations, including benefits, onboarding, employee records, HR audits, compliance reporting, and general office administration. This is a full-time, onsite position supporting approximately 40 internal employees and 300+ seasonal/field employees. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm Type: Direct Hire Location: Onsite - Fridley, MN Salary: $70,000-$90,000 (DOE) Key Responsibilities (HR & Office Administration) Human Resources Responsibilities Manage benefits administration, including enrollments, terminations, life event changes, and ACA reporting Maintain accurate employee files, digital records, certifications, and license tracking Support onboarding and offboarding for full-time staff and seasonal drivers Assist with HR compliance, HR audits, unemployment claims, leave administration, and annual reporting Process and respond to employment verifications in a timely manner Ensure HR processes align with federal, state, and transportation-industry requirements Office Administration Responsibilities Maintain office supplies, equipment, mail distribution, and vendor coordination Support leadership with scheduling, document preparation, and administrative projects Contribute to a clean, organized, and efficient office environment Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree required 3-5+ years of HR Generalist experience Strong experience with: Benefits administration Recruiting/Talent acquisition Employee file maintenance & compliance Excellent communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism Experience working in a dynamic, diverse, and fast-paced environment Preferred Experience Background in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or fleet operations Experience supporting a distributed or seasonal workforce Familiarity with HR audits and multi-state compliance Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $70,000-$90,000 (depending on experience) Medical, dental, vision, life insurance HSA options + monthly health benefit stipend PTO 7 paid holidays Why This Role Is a Great Opportunity Exposure to multiple areas within operations, HR, and compliance Stable, growing organization with over 20 years in the industry Inclusive, diverse, and collaborative culture Strong visibility to leadership and opportunity for future compensation growth All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
