Cost Estimator

Position Overview Were seeking an Estimator to support our preconstruction team in developing accurate, competitive cost estimates that help secure new projects. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional who wants to build a strong foundation in commercial construction estimating. Youll work alongside experienced Estimators, Operations leaders, and project teams to learn the full estimating process from conceptual budgeting through bid submission while gaining hands-on exposure to real projects. What Youll Do Review drawings, specifications, and project scope to understand materials, quantities, and construction requirements. Perform digital quantity takeoffs using estimating software. Assist in developing conceptual budgets and detailed cost estimates. Help assemble bidder lists and coordinate subcontractor outreach. Solicit and track subcontractor and vendor pricing. Support pre-bid meetings, bid reviews, and estimate reconciliations. Identify scope gaps or missing components within design documents. Assist with value engineering ideas and system alternatives. Collaborate with Operations, Accounting, and Business Development teams during pursuits. Maintain accurate documentation of estimates and bid information. What Were Looking For: Education & Experience Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field. 1-2+ year of construction experience (internship, co-op, or full-time role). Technical Skills Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents. Strong math and analytical skills. Familiarity with digital takeoff or estimating software is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Professional Skills Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Curious, coachable, and eager to learn. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment. Positive attitude and willingness to grow within the construction industry.
