Growing together. Primary Responsibilities:Prepare monthly technologist schedules (Nuclear) to coordinate with current hours of operations to maximize workflow - including vacations, Timecard issues, and related coverageCommunicate daily department staffing to front desk scheduling coordinator and site manager regarding issues/adjustmentsCollaborating with the Site Managers, the Chief Technologist directs the performance of their assigned technologists and is responsible for the efficiency, productivity and quality performed by assigned technologistsWorks in collaboration with multiple staff (Technologists, Radiologists, Nursing, office managers and Radiology leadership)The goal to optimize patient flow and influence patient and staff satisfactionOversees the departments inventory, procurement and maintenance of supplies, equipment, and partsReviews and updates technical proceduresAssists in the quality assurance programCoordinates and schedules the department's monthly meetings and in-service educationOversees the maintenance and cleanliness of radiology equipmentDelegate duties to other technologists in relevant modality as appropriateEvaluate and monitor patient dose exposure / badge reports.  Reviewing with RSOMonitor QA/QC and ensuring all books kept up to dateConduct performance evaluations, coaching and counseling on department staff as requiredDirect and support employees daily work activities and recommend the following employee actions: Hiring, corrective action and performance reviewsMonitor and approve time cards and mange PTO requestsWork with radiologist to ensure the most appropriate protocols are loaded for the best clinical outcome while being conscious of patient volume throughputOrganize staff meetings with technologists at your center to educate and grow the team. In addition, conduct one-on-one meeting with staff to discuss any issuesOversee pharmaceutical ordersPerform clinical exams as needed in chosen modalityAssist Nuclear Radiologist in development of clinical protocols for use within the entire practiceLead contact in the preparation and submission of all ACR accreditations in chosen modalitiesIndependently resolve issues and coordinate appropriate departmental resources (clerical, vendor, clinical) when needed to facilitate workflow. Follow up as neededOverseeing all aspects of Nuclear Medicine Technologists in departmenMaintain daily contact with clinical supervisors/managersAssess and evaluate MR team, yearly evaluations/reviews and site assessmentsInform Manager on a daily basis of all departmental activities needing supervisory actionMaintain strictest confidentiality in all aspectsPerform other related duties assigned as necessaryOptum NY/NJ was formed in 2022 by bringing together Riverside Medical Group, CareMount Medical and ProHealth Care. Together, we're making health care work better for everyone.You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:IV CertificationDually certified (Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT including CT registry)ARRT certification/licensureKnowledge of standard policies, procedures and protocols to supervise the department directlyKnowledge of radiology standards specifically Nuclear and Pet/CT to evaluate work of technologistsSkill in developing and maintaining department quality assuranceSkill in identifying and resolving problemsProven ability to communicate clearly and professionally to all staff and physiciansProven excellent organizational skills and ability to function independently in all administrative aspects of the standard office-operating environment (typing, WORD, EXCEL etc.) Proven ability to maintain a well-organized, clear, "thinking" approach to all systemsPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in health care administration, public health, business administration, or related degree 3+ years of experience as a technologist with 3+ years supervisoryCore customers and key relationshipsPatientsPatients Families and FriendsPhysicians and Other Medical Staff External Medical PartnersPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment.
