Financial Analyst (Temporary - Leave Coverage)

SeneGence is seeking a temporary Financial Analyst to support the business by providing accurate financial analysis and insights. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining financial models, retrieving data from databases, preparing reports, and assisting with month-end accounting close. The Financial Analyst will collaborate with decision-makers to communicate findings and contribute to fact-based business decisions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Participate in the development and maintenance of financial models, including budget and forecast models. • Retrieve data from SQL database and perform data analysis. • Develop reports and perform ad-hoc projects to assist management with data-driven business decisions. • Assist with the month-end accounting close process. • Meet with decision-makers to communicate results and insights derived from financial analysis. • Undertake projects and assignments as directed by the SVP of Finance & Accounting. • Other duties as requested by business need. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR POSITION: • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a similar field. • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis. • Intermediate level proficiency with MS Office suite. • Expert level proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions (SUMIF, SUMPRODUCT, INDEXMATCH), pivot tables, and graphs. • Experience with data warehouses and the ability to retrieve and analyze large datasets. • Basic knowledge of SQL. Familiarity with other coding languages (e.g., R-script) is a plus. • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Self-motivated with the ability to think critically and work in a demanding, high-stress environment with multiple priorities and deadlines. • Able to work collaboratively with others as well as independently, with minimal supervision. • Consistent and regular attendance is expected. QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED FOR POSITION: • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. • Professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, CMA). • Experience with financial data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Physical requirements include arm and hand steadiness and finger dexterity enough to use a keyboard, ten-key, and telephone; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 40 pounds; may be subject to walking, standing, sitting, reaching, balancing, bending, crawling, handling, feeling, kneeling, climbing, twisting; and vision, speech, and hearing sufficient to perform the essential tasks. WORKING CONDITIONS: Working environment is primarily indoors in an office setting and occasionally outdoors for special events; requires some evening and possible weekend hours and requires use of telephone and other office equipment.
