School Social Worker Supervisor - Whitney Hall School Hamden, CT | Full-Time | Exempt Support Student Success Beyond the Classroom The Children's Center of Hamden is seeking a School Social Work Manager to provide clinical leadership, supervision, and direct care within our Whitney Hall School program. In this role, you will support youth and families by addressing non-academic barriers to learning while guiding a team of school social workers and clinical interns. This position plays a critical role in ensuring equitable access to services, high-quality clinical practice, and positive outcomes for students through collaboration with educators, treatment staff, families, and community partners. What You'll Do As School Social Worker Supervisor, you will: Provide clinical leadership and supervision to Whitney Hall School Social Workers and clinical interns Serve as the clinical liaison with PRTF programs and participate in evaluations, treatment team meetings, case reviews, and PPT meetings Support referral, screening, and intake coordination in collaboration with school administration Oversee implementation of social-emotional learning (SEL) curriculum and trauma-informed practices Lead case consultation meetings and professional development for social work staff Support treatment planning, crisis intervention, and risk assessment as needed Ensure documentation and service delivery meet agency and regulatory standards Carry a limited caseload when needed to maintain continuity of services Collaborate with families, school districts, and outside agencies to coordinate care Support continuous quality improvement and data-informed program development Perform other duties as assigned to support program success. What We're Looking For Holds Connecticut License Master of Social Work (LMSW) with appropriate school or clinical experience; LCSW strongly preferred Must hold Social Worker Certification (#071) with the Connecticut Department of Education Experience supervising or mentoring staff preferred Knowledge of trauma-informed care and child/adolescent development Strong documentation, communication, and leadership skills Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary treatment team Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to perform light to moderate lifting, standing, walking, bending, and other physical tasks as needed Potential exposure to bodily fluids and other environmental hazards in a school-based setting Join Our Team If you are passionate about supporting students while leading a team of clinicians in a therapeutic school setting, we encourage you to apply today and help support brighter futures at Whitney Hall School.
