Tool And Die Maker A Tool and Die Maker is responsible for designing, building, and repairing different types of tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures used in various manufacturing processes. They work closely with engineers and machinists to ensure the products they create meet the specifications and requirements of the customer. Key Responsibilities: Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine the design and build requirements for tools and dies. Plan the sequence of operations and select the materials and tools required to complete the job. Set up and operate various machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drill presses, to produce precision parts. Test completed tools and dies to ensure they meet specifications and make adjustments as necessary. Repair damaged or broken tools and dies and perform preventative maintenance to ensure longevity. Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols. Collaborate with engineers and machinists to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving measures.
