Associate Product Manager, Automotive Chemicals The Associate Product Manager supports the Product and Category Management team in developing and communicating product and category plans that align with annual company goals. In this role, the APM builds a strong understanding of products, industry dynamics, systems, and processes to take on greater responsibility over time. The APM collaborates closely with Product Technology, Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Product Information to ensure products meet customer needs, regulatory requirements, and business objectives. This role manages day-to-day project execution, supports key strategic initiatives, and provides research and analytics on brands, products, and competitive trends. The APM also partners with vendors on new product launches, promotions, and marketing strategies, ensuring seamless coordination across internal teams. This candidate must be local to a Highline Warren location. Ideal locations: Charlotte, NC Naperville, IL Memphis, TN Omaha, NE Other acceptable locations: Council Bluffs, IA Dallas, TX Houston, TX Greensboro, NC Leominster, MA Milwaukee, WI Essential functions: Coordinate day-to-day project activities and ensure on-time, in-full execution across cross-functional teams. Maintain accurate product data and support regulatory, compliance, and Master Data Management (MDM) processes Support product lifecycle management, including launches, updates, and discontinuations. Analyze syndicated data and market insights to inform category strategy and product recommendations. Assist in developing business cases, financial analyses, and category performance reports. Prepare materials for category reviews, leadership presentations, and internal updates. Manage vendor documentation, including scorecards, templates, ERP instructions, and ownership matrices. Collaborate with Marketing and Creative to support product positioning, packaging needs, and promotional content. Participate in vendor and customer meetings related to assortment, cost negotiations, and data requirements. Provide product-related support to the Sales team and field inquiries as needed Marginal functions: The individual may be asked to perform other duties as requested. Required knowledge, skills, and abilities: Project & Process Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to track milestones, identify risks, and proactively resolve issues. Analytical & Insights-Oriented: Ability to interpret syndicated data, market trends, and competitive insights. Strong financial acumen for supporting business cases and performance reporting. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work across diverse teams including Marketing, Supply Chain, Research, Sales, and Product teams. Strong communication skills to ensure alignment and timely information flow. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities Data Accuracy & Systems Management: Detail-oriented mindset with experience maintaining accurate product data and supporting MDM processes. Ability to learn and apply ERP, PIM, and other product lifecycle systems. Presentation & Reporting: Skilled in preparing leadership-ready presentations, reports, and category review materials. Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and data reporting tools. Minimum experience, education, and certifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field. 13 years of experience in category management, product management, marketing, or a related role. Strong organizational and project management skills; able to manage multiple priorities independently. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) with familiarity in ERP/MDM systems and databases. Skilled at analyzing raw data and translating insights into actionable category or product recommendations. Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Professional, detail-oriented, and able to positively represent the company. Collaborative team player who builds strong cross-functional relationships. Quick learner who adapts well to change, anticipates challenges, and proactively removes obstacles. Demonstrates initiative and champions new ideas to drive business impact. Physical demands of essential functions: Ability to travel by air or car for occasional business needs.
