Fitness and Recreation Operations Manager The Fitness and Recreation Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Fitness and Recreation programs to ensure an exceptional member experience and high level of customer satisfaction. This position manages and supervises Fitness and Pickleball Front Desk Representative staff, supports program administration through agency software systems, oversees scheduling and payroll, and ensures proper inventory and supply management for fitness and recreation-related areas. Primary Responsibilities Serve as a visible and accessible presence in the fitness and recreation areas to ensure safety, cleanliness, and adherence to facility policies. Provide accurate information to members regarding fitness and wellness programs, services, equipment usage, and general rules of conduct. Respond to member and community inquiries and concerns in a professional, friendly, and timely manner. Deliver direct member services as needed, including New Member Assessments, Fitness Orientations, and STYKU body assessment sessions. Administrative Duties Manage program and punch pass registrations for fitness, sports, and recreation programs using agency software systems including Salesforce and Upace. Oversee scheduling of all Fitness and Pickleball Front Desk Representatives using Sling scheduling software monthly. Process and monitor payroll for part-time fitness, pickleball, Kidcare, and recreation staff. Coordinate with custodial staff and the Director of Fitness to manage purchasing and inventory of locker room supplies, fitness center amenities, and Kidcare supplies. Support operational needs of the fitness facilities, including locker rooms, through collaboration with custodial staff. Supervision Recruit, hire, onboard, and train Fitness and Pickleball Front Desk Representatives. Supervise, mentor, evaluate, and provide ongoing training to Fitness and Pickleball Front Desk Representatives, ensuring adherence to performance and safety standards. Foster a team culture centered on professionalism, accountability, and exceptional member service. Agency Expectations Participate in agency-wide events, Open Houses, and Program Registration days as required. Provide cross-departmental support as needed to assist with staffing gaps and agency initiatives. Complete required staff Jewish Learning hours. Qualifications Experience in fitness, sports, or recreation management preferred; degree in a related field preferred. CPR/AED certification required (or willingness to obtain). Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations. Strong member/customer service experience. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Professional demeanor and appearance. Energetic, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively. Responsible, flexible, and team-oriented. Work Schedule Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM Tuesday, Thursday: 10:00 AM 7:00 PM Some evenings and weekends are required based on programming needs. This is an onsite position.
