We are seeking a dependable and courteous Donation Pickup Laborer to assist with the collection, loading, and unloading of donated items. This physically demanding role involves handling heavy furniture and multiple boxes while maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor with donors and customers. The ideal candidate will also support store operations by helping with furniture setup and customer assistance. Key Responsibilities: Assist the driver in picking up donations from various locations. Load and secure heavy furniture and multiple boxes onto the trailer. Provide tax-deductible donation forms to donors and ensure positive interaction. Unload donations at the store and assist with sorting and staging. Move and arrange furniture within the store as directed. Help customers load purchased furniture into their vehicles. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the loading/unloading areas. Assist as needed throughout the store, including the store donation drop-off area. Qualifications: Ability to lift and move heavy items up to 75 lbs. Experience with furniture handling and loading preferred. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Work Environment: Frequent lifting, bending, and physical activity. Exposure to varying weather conditions during pickups and deliveries. Interaction with a diverse range of donors and customers.
