Confidential Assistant II Stanislaus County is seeking a Confidential Assistant II for the Sheriff's Department. This position offers a salary range of $44,636.80 to $66,934.40 annually and is available for both full-time and part-time employment. The position requires knowledge of County and departmental policies and procedures relative to human resource operations. Incumbents will promote a professional image by the efficient performance of a variety of business and clerical tasks designed to facilitate the smooth flow of work throughout the department. Typical tasks include handling confidential personnel documents and correspondence, conducting the processing of all phases of the payroll cycle, and maintaining employee payroll records, payroll files, and filing systems. Minimum qualifications include knowledge of administrative and office procedures, standard office machines, software programs, timekeeping software, English language, and payroll processes. Skills and abilities include critical thinking, writing, speaking, oral comprehension, number facility, complex problem solving, organizing, planning, and prioritizing work, deductive reasoning, evaluating information to determine compliance with standards, and attention to detail. Education/experience pattern I requires equivalent of two (2) years of full-time journey level clerical experience. Education/experience pattern II requires forty-eight (48) semester units in relevant college coursework or business school training. Application procedures require a complete online application.
