In order to be considered for this position, you must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record. The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; periodic work in tight areas. ResponsibilitiesConduct sites surveys; assess and document current site configuration and user requirementsAnalyze existing requirements and prepare specifications for hardware acquisitionsDevelop hardware installation schedulesPrepare drawings documenting configuration changes at each sitePrepare site installationConfigure computers, communications devices and peripheral equipmentTrain site personnel in proper use of hardwareTroubleshoot, repair, and test computer workstations, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipmentInstall and configure computer workstations, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment and associated cablingMaintain government and/or vendor-manufactured fiber optic/Ethernet cables and telephone systems RequirementsTS/SCI FSP ClearanceMinimum education and experience level: High school/GED and 0-2 years of experience AND 8570 Certification. Will accept an AA or BS in a technical field as a substitute for years of experience.Preferred SecurityHighly skilled in installing, repairing and troubleshooting computer hardware and peripheralsWell-versed in installing windows, software, applications, antivirus and patchesDemonstrated ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematicsExpertise in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access)Able to manage time and priorities effectivelyAble to work efficiently with minimal supervisionProficient in working with end-users remotelyDemonstrated expertiseFamiliar with Active Directory security and policiesExcellent analytical and problem solving skillsOutstanding communication skills to relate with team members and support workersMust be available to work an 8 hour shift between the hours of 6am-and 6pm, as determined by managementMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds and able to drive a company vehicle About Us For more than 20 years, NewGen Technologies has solved our clients' toughest IT challenges with integrity, security, and outstanding service by delivering both technology and talent.
