Job Description

Human Resources Generalist Maryville Academy is seeking a full-time Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The Human Resources Generalist will provide expertise and support across all HR functions including recruitment, benefits administration, talent management, payroll, leave management, and data analysis. This individual must have a comprehensive understanding of HR functions and be capable of offering creative solutions to complex issues while effectively communicating with employees at all levels. Responsibilities: Provide guidance on HR practices, policies, legislation, and regulatory requirements to employees and leaders. Collaborate with business leaders to advise on recruitment, performance management, employee engagement, compensation, and organizational effectiveness. Analyze data to support decision-making based on HR metrics and trends. Assist in talent acquisition, onboarding, compensation and benefits, and organization development. Complete compliance reports and support audits as required. Undertake additional HR tasks as needed and assigned. Education/Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field; significant recruiting experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Minimum of four (3) years of HR experience in a HR Generalist role or 2 years with a master's degree in human resources. Experience with payroll systems. Customer-focused with strong relationship-building skills and business acumen. Non-profit HR experience is a plus. Must be eligible to work in the U.S without sponsorship. Must have a valid Illinois Driver's license. Skills: Commitment to the mission and objectives of Maryville Academy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships. Outstanding organizational and time management skills. Analytical and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of employment laws and regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems. Understanding of HR department functions and interrelationships. Physical Demands: Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, walk, and lift/move objects weighing over 20 pounds. Visual, hearing, and learning capabilities sufficient to perform job functions. Environment and Scheduling: Work onsite in an office setting.
