Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) 3 Amentum is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) 3 for a prime contract based out of our Columbia, MD office. Essential responsibilities include: Providing support for a program, organization, system, or enclave's information assurance program. Supporting the proposal, coordination, implementation, and enforcement of information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies. Maintaining the operational security posture for an information system or program to ensure information systems security policies, standards, and procedures are established and followed. Assisting with the management of security aspects of the information system and performing day-to-day security operations of the system. Evaluating security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information. Performing vulnerability/risk assessment analysis to support security authorization. Providing configuration management for information systems security software, hardware, and firmware. Managing changes to the system and assessing the security impact of those changes. Preparing and reviewing documentation to include System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, Certification and Accreditation (C&A) packages, and System Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs). Supporting security authorization activities in compliance with National Institute of Standards and Technology Risk Management Framework (NIST RMF). Minimum requirements (knowledge, skills, and abilities) include: Supporting senior ISSOs for implementing and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies. Assisting with preparation and maintenance of documentation. Assisting in the evaluation of security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information. Assisting with Configuration Management (CM) for information system security software, hardware, and firmware. Maintaining records on workstations, servers, routers, firewalls, intelligent hubs, network switches, etc. to include system upgrades. Proposing, coordinating, and implementing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies. Developing and maintaining documentation for Security Authorization in accordance with ODNI and DoD policies. Providing CM for security-relevant information system software, hardware, and firmware. Ensuring compliance with system security policy. Evaluating security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information. Maintaining the operational security posture for an information system or program. Providing support to the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) for maintaining the appropriate operational Cybersecurity posture for a system, program, or enclave. Developing and updating the system security plan and other Cybersecurity documentation. Assisting with the management of security aspects of the information system and performing day-to-day security operations of the system. Tracking and ensuring appropriate user identification and authentication mechanism of the information System (IS). Obtaining system authorization for ISs under their purview. Providing support for a program, organization, system, or enclave's information assurance program. Planning and coordinating implementation of IT security programs and policies. Managing and controlling changes to the system assessing the security impact of those changes. Providing daily oversight and direction to contractor ISSOs. Interacting with customers, IT staff, and high-level corporate officers to define and achieve required Cybersecurity objectives. Clearance required: TS/SCI Poly Minimum education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, IT Engineering or related field is required. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, four (4) additional years of work-related experience may be substituted for a total of fourteen (14) years. Minimum years of experience: Ten (10) years of combined work-related experience in the fields of IT, cybersecurity or security authorization is required. Experience in several of the following areas is required: knowledge of current security tools, hardware/software security implementation; communication protocols; or encryption tools and techniques. Familiarity with commercial security products, security authorization techniques, security incident management, and PKI and authorization services. Required certifications: Compliance with DoD 8570.01-M with a minimum certification of IAM Level I is required. Compensation details: $185,000-$210,000. The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
