Team Leader: WNY Solutions for Farming and Food Access ...

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Niagara County is seeking a full-time Team Leader to support the Western NY Solutions for Farming and Food Access (WNYSFFA) initiative. This position is based in Lockport and serves communities across Western New York. The Team Leader will guide regional efforts to increase food access for low-income individuals and families by strengthening connections between local farms, community organizations, and food system partners. Responsibilities include assessing regional needs, developing and expanding programs, coordinating cross-county initiatives, and leading staff in delivering high-impact educational efforts. The Team Leader will build partnerships with farms, health departments, community groups, and agencies to improve the farm to families pipeline, support struggling farm economies, and expand access to nutritious food in urban and rural communities. Additional duties include overseeing budgeting, grant development, program evaluation, and strategic communication. The ideal candidates will have a Master’s degree in Nutrition, Public Health, or a related field, at least two years of relevant experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work across diverse communities.
