Responsibilities Strategic Sourcing & Category Leadership Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned to business objectives Lead category planning, demand forecasting, and supplier market analysis Identify cost optimization and value engineering opportunities Drive long-term supplier partnerships Supplier Management & Governance Lead supplier selection (RFP/RFQ process) Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, SLAs, and pricing models Monitor supplier performance (KPIs, scorecards, compliance) Manage supplier risk, continuity, and escalation handling Cost & Commercial Management Deliver cost savings and cost avoidance targets Conduct should-cost analysis and benchmarking Manage total cost of ownership (TCO) Support budget planning and financial forecasting Cross-Functional Program Leadership Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Finance, Legal, and PMO Align sourcing timelines with program milestones Support NPI (New Product Introduction) and transformation initiatives Drive governance forums and executive reporting Risk & Compliance Management Identify supply chain risks and mitigation strategies Ensure regulatory and contractual compliance Monitor geopolitical and supplier financial risks Lead contingency planning Process Improvement & Digital Enablement Improve sourcing workflows and automation Drive adoption of procurement systems (SAP, Ariba, Coupa, etc.) Standardize templates, playbooks, and governance frameworks Stakeholder & Executive Communication Present sourcing strategy to senior leadership Provide program status, savings, risks, and escalations Influence decision-making through data-backed insights Qualifications Minimum qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA or relevant master's degree preferred. Preferred qualifications/skills Progressive experience in sourcing/procurement, with managerial or leadership role. Proven track record in strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and supplier management. Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or similar complex environment is a plus. Strong analytical, negotiation, and influencing skills. Excellent leadership and people management capabilities. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency with procurement systems (SAP, Ariba, Coupa, or similar). Willingness to travel domestically or internationally as needed (up to 15%). Must be authorized to work in the USA. The approximate annual base compensation range for this position is $80000 to $100000. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package plus benefits, will be determined by a number of factors which include but are not limited to the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities; geographic location; and internal equity.
