Join our dedicated team and help prioritize health The Pricing Associate Actuary will play a crucial role in determining pricing assumptions, submitting bids, and ensuring premium rates are filed and approved by regulatory agencies. This position supports the implementation of new rates, plans, and benefit modifications while providing insights to Product Development on cost impacts related to new products and benefits. The work involves analyzing complex issues requiring comprehensive data evaluation. In this role, you will establish financial metrics aligned with segment profitability goals, analyze market level results, and recommend pricing actions to bridge any gaps. You will utilize market projections and experience data tools to investigate root causes and garner insights. Understanding competitors and collaborating with sales and other partners will be essential to formulating strategies for profitable membership growth. You will ensure actuarial certifications are fulfilled for rate filings, confirming compliance with regulatory standards. As you grow into this role, you will begin to influence departmental strategy and make informed decisions on technical approaches for various project components. Utilize your expertise to drive positive change Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree Associate of Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation MAAA Exceptional communication skills Genuine enthusiasm for enhancing consumer experiences Preferred Qualifications: Experience in health insurance Familiarity with Medicare Advantage While this is a remote role, you may need to occasionally travel to Humana's offices for meetings or training. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Salary Range: The estimated starting salary for full-time employment is $106,900 - $147,000 per year. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location and individual skills and experience. This position is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on individual and company performance.
