We are a 100% volunteer-run organization—from our Executive Director to our daily advocates. Role Summary We are looking for a Volunteer Onboarding Specialist to serve as the primary architect of our new volunteer experience. In this role, you will be a volunteer supporting other volunteers. Key Responsibilities Initial Outreach: Respond to new volunteer inquiries and applications with warmth and professionalism. Screening & Interviews: Lead 15-minute introductory "vibe check" calls to ensure applicants align with GFS values. Onboarding Flow: Manage the transition from "Interested" to "Active" by coordinating background checks (where applicable), NDAs, and orientation materials. Culture Building: Act as a peer mentor for new arrivals during their first 30 days to ensure they have the tools they need to succeed.
