The Royal Scroll Foundation is a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to bringing storytelling, character performance, and creative experiences to children and families in underserved communities. We provide free performances and interactive programs at schools, libraries, hospitals, community centers, and other special events. We also offer more than just character-style performances, including holiday celebrations such as Christmas festivals, seasonal community events, and themed programs throughout the year. We also welcome volunteers with dance backgrounds and regularly provide dance-based performances as part of our outreach. We are currently seeking passionate volunteers to join our growing team! Volunteers may assist as performers, performer assistants, costume assistants, event helpers, or general support staff, depending on interest and experience. Performing is not required - volunteers are welcome to support events behind the scenes or alongside performers. Volunteer Responsibilities May Include: Performing as storybook or original fantasy characters at community events (optional) Assisting performers during events with crowd interaction and activity support Assisting with event setup, breakdown, and guest interaction Helping with costume preparation and basic wardrobe support Supporting children’s activities such as crafts, storytelling, and games Representing the organization professionally and warmly in public settings Who We’re Looking For: Individuals who enjoy working with children and families Students or professionals interested in theatre, performance, education, or community service Reliable, kind, and enthusiastic team players No prior performance experience required for performance OR non-performer roles (training provided) By volunteering with The Royal Scroll Foundation, you’ll help bring joy, imagination, and meaningful arts experiences to communities who need them most.
