Job Details Interim Manager, Pharmacy Needed in the Southwest! The Position An Interim Manager, Pharmacy is needed to provide operational and clinical leadership across two hospital pharmacy departments, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality medication management services. Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy, this leader will oversee approximately thirty-nine FTEs. Key responsibilities include establishing consistency and integrity in addressing staff requests and operational needs, providing direct support to the Director of Pharmacy, and delivering pharmacist education and coaching to address knowledge gaps and strengthen clinical performance. The ideal candidate will have previous leadership experience in a hospital or inpatient pharmacy setting. They should be clinically savvy, as some direct patient care may be required. Experience with BD Logistics software is preferred. Must be kind and compassionate while also capable of holding staff accountable and maintaining high professional standards. Must be available to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance. Requirements Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required. Active Arizona pharmacist license required. Five to ten years of progressive hospital or inpatient pharmacy leadership experience, with demonstrated expertise in clinical operations, staff coaching, medication safety, and quality performance metrics. The final compensation rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation. Additionally, some candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, depending on the specific role, including but not limited to health insurance coverage and retirement benefits.
