Position Summary: Join our team as a Pharmaceutical Sales Clerk and create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Your role will be essential in establishing a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. You will assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals while ensuring adherence to our quality assurance standards. Responsibilities: Welcome and engage customers, answering questions about products in the department as well as throughout the store. Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of all products to assist customers effectively. Offer product samples to enhance customer discovery of new items. Keep customers informed of the latest Drug GM specials. Recommend items to meet customer needs and preferences. Regularly review product 'sell by' dates and take necessary action. Label, stock, and manage inventory for department merchandise. Communicate any product ordering or shipping discrepancies to the department manager. Maintain a positive attitude and a welcoming environment. Stay informed about current, future, seasonal, and special promotions. Reinforce safety practices by adhering to procedures and reporting any unsafe conditions. Engage in preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting repair needs. Promptly notify management of any customer or employee accidents. Report all safety risks, illegal activities, including robbery, theft, or fraud. Work collaboratively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment. Manage conflicts amicably and cooperatively. Uphold honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information. Follow directions and seek guidance as needed to resolve issues. Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults through direct interaction. Perform all essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Qualifications: Previous retail experience is preferred. Capability to manage stressful situations effectively. Excellent communication skills. Basic math knowledge.
