Job Description: Peckham Inc. - Graphic Services Technician IMPORTANT INFORMATION Starting Wage: $20.92 per hour Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Monday through Friday Location: 74 Washington Ave N, Battle Creek, MI 49037 MUST BE ABLE TO OBTAIN FEDERAL SECURITY CLEARANCE SUMMARY The Graphic Services Specialist provides comprehensive design and customer support services for a variety of printed and visual communication products. This role supports the creation and production of signs, posters, pamphlets, stationery, nameplates, certificates, banners, and other graphic materials based on customer specifications. The specialist collaborates closely with DLA Document Services to coordinate and fulfill project requests, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely delivery. Responsibilities include consulting with customers to assess project needs, recommending effective graphic and visual design solutions, tracking and managing document requests within established systems, and delivering exceptional customer service. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Support the design creation of signs, posters, pamphlets, stationary, nameplates, certificate, banners, or other products, based on customer requests Work closely with DLA Document Services on customer requests as needed Meet with customers to discuss projects, provide solutions based on sound graphic/visual techniques and customer requirements to ensure customer satisfaction Track all document requests in system Work on small team and independently Provide excellent customer service Accept other jobs/duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent At least 18 years of age U.S. Citizen Ability to pass a thorough background check screening (credit and criminal history) to determine fitness for a federal security clearance Proficient in the English language (written and verbal) Must be proficient in the use of the Adobe and Microsoft products Demonstrated customer service and team interaction skills are required Exceptional listening skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize assignments Ability to gather information to determine needs; apply problem solving skills and resolve the inquiry/request effectively PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Some college education in a Graphic Arts field of study Five years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the field with an emphasis on customer service PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. WORK ENVIRONMENT Individuals will work in an office environment and be responsible for performing a variety of related tasks. Due to customer demands, the position requires the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting. While the role is primarily independent, the individual is also part of a team and must be able to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment. This position will include exposure to studio-related fumes. The work environment characteristics described are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this position. SECURITY Many of the positions through the Business Services Division require security clearance. Thus, the candidate/employee must pass and maintain appropriate security and background checks as required for each area and/or contract. The extent of the security and background check may vary by position. Employment may also be contingent upon successful security and background checks and may be run on an ad hoc basis. Required security and clearance checks will be completed at no financial cost to the candidate.
