QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SPEECH-LANGUAGE THERAPIST Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders ASHA certification State Speech Language Pathology License All Speech Language Therapists are required to possess a state license. If you don't currently hold a license for your intended state, our licensing team at PDS will assist you through this process! A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SPEECH LANGUAGE THERAPIST As a Speech-Language Therapist, your day will be dedicated to improving the lives of children. Your efforts will set them on a path to success both in the classroom and in their future endeavors—this meaningful work is the foundation of a rewarding career! You will provide top-notch services to students in accordance with their IEPs/504 plans. By conducting evaluations, assessments, and writing detailed reports, you will identify their strengths as well as areas needing support in speech, fluency, language, and oral motor skills.
