Athletic Director - High School

JOB SUMMARY: Plans, coordinates, directs, administers, and implements the athletic program for a high school; teaches and helps students learn subject matter and develop critical thinking and life skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible persons. REPORTS TO: Principal QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree or above is required. Master's degree preferred. Must possess (or meet qualifications for) Georgia educational certification in a teaching field. Teaching and coaching experience at the secondary school level is required. Strong background in the fundamentals of football is required. Prior experience playing football is desired. SALARY/TERMS/BENEFITS: 225 day work year (12 month position); eight - (8) hours per day. Salary based on certification and experience; placement on the Georgia Annual Salary Schedule, position supplement(s) and placement on supplemental duty schedule for the designated sport.
