Job Description Summary: We are looking for a passionate and skilled Physical Therapy Specialist to become an integral part of our healthcare team. The ideal candidate is dedicated to delivering personalized, evidence-based physical therapy services to a diverse range of patients. In this vital role, you will assess, plan, and implement targeted therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing our patients' physical health and overall quality of life. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Patient Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive physical examinations to assess patients' physical conditions, functional capabilities, and limitations. Create individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, patient objectives, and current best practices. Employ diagnostic tools such as gait analysis and range of motion assessments to inform treatment strategies. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure thorough and well-coordinated patient care. Therapeutic Interventions: Implement a range of therapeutic exercises and techniques designed to reduce pain, boost mobility, and enhance muscle strength. Utilize manual therapy approaches, including joint mobilization and soft tissue manipulation. Design and adapt exercise programs tailored to each patient’s needs and progress. Educate patients on the correct use of assistive devices and ergonomic improvements in their daily routines. Patient Education and Support: Provide patients and their families with thorough education about therapy procedures, exercises, and condition management strategies. Offer valuable advice on lifestyle changes, injury prevention, and effective pain management techniques. Motivate and engage patients to ensure their commitment to treatment plans through encouragement and support. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, documenting treatment plans, progress updates, and outcomes. Prepare comprehensive reports for referring physicians, insurance carriers, and other healthcare professionals as necessary. Comply with all regulatory standards and internal policies regarding documentation. Collaboration and Communication: Engage closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists for optimal patient care. Participate in team discussions, case conferences, and patient reviews to contribute to patient-centric treatment planning. Effectively communicate with patients, families, and caregivers to address any concerns and provide ongoing support throughout their treatment journey. Equipment and Facility Management: Ensure the appropriate use, maintenance, and cleanliness of therapy equipment and treatment areas. Monitor inventory and manage supplies, placing orders as needed to maintain appropriate levels. Follow safety guidelines and infection control protocols to maintain a safe treatment environment. Continuous Improvement and Professional Development: Stay informed about recent advancements in physical therapy practices and technology through ongoing education. Engage in professional development activities such as workshops, seminars, and conferences. Contribute to initiatives aimed at quality improvement and share insights to elevate practice standards among colleagues. General Responsibilities: Adhere to high ethical and professional standards in all interactions and treatment processes. Carry out additional responsibilities related to the Physical Therapy Specialist role as directed by supervisors. Support clinic operations by assisting with administrative tasks and front-desk duties when necessary. Qualifications: Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution. Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist. Relevant clinical experience, ideally with a diverse patient population. Proficiency in diagnostic and therapeutic physical therapy techniques. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Able to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Dedication to continuous learning and professional growth. Shift: 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday
