The Role: We are seeking a proactive and motivated Professional Services Consultant to lead the implementation of Proofpoint solutions while maintaining technical relationships with our enterprise customers. This position will involve engaging with large-scale enterprises at senior levels as well as technical teams within IT organizations. As a consultant, you will work directly with newly signed customers to implement Proofpoint solutions, utilizing remote web conferencing. Your expertise will be crucial in installation, configuration, troubleshooting, customization, testing, and documentation of our products. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical skills alongside excellent interpersonal abilities, ensuring accountability for successful customer engagements. Your Daily Tasks: Engage with enterprise customers as a Proofpoint product expert to implement solutions, including configuration and troubleshooting. Deliver training sessions for customers and partners. Provide technical expertise by creating solutions, designs, and proof of concepts. Drive high levels of customer satisfaction. Act as a liaison for customers with Marketing and Engineering teams to enhance products and ensure effective deployments. Coordinate with various internal departments and customers to resolve technical issues and complete projects effectively. Document best practices, processes, and architectural techniques for the field organization. What You Bring to the Team: 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role, such as professional services or technical support. Expertise in large systems design and project implementation for enterprise email environments. Experience in UNIX system administration. Broad knowledge of Internet products and technologies. An understanding of Internet protocols, notably HTTP, SMTP, IMAP, RFC822, LDAP, and PKI. Familiarity with networking topology, TCP/IP protocols, and network components such as firewalls and routers. Strong system administration experience with Sendmail and messaging infrastructure. A collaborative approach to working with all levels of an organization. Why Join Proofpoint?
