SUMMARY We are looking for an Actuary to perform comprehensive analyses, pricing, and risk evaluations that produce accurate financial forecasts. This position requires the use of advanced mathematical models, probability, statistics, and financial principles to conduct calculations concerning life, health, social, casualty insurance, annuities, and pensions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Lead strategic initiatives with analytical expertise and oversight. Prepare, analyze, and present various reports to identify trends and anomalies. Conduct qualitative and quantitative data analysis, including exploratory data analysis, graphing, forecasting, and modeling. Assess complex data and business challenges, offering actionable recommendations based on thorough performance analysis. Develop reports, presentations, and implementation strategies to aid management decision-making. Perform quality assurance checks and peer reviews for team deliverables. Review, evaluate, and recommend enhancements for existing operational procedures. Participate in or manage key actuarial projects. Provide mentorship and training to team members. Ensure compliance with data standards and maintain data integrity within agency management systems. Willingness to travel infrequently, approximately 10% of the time. Complete other related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field. A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant work experience. Associateship in the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) is required for Property & Casualty careers, with a commitment to achieving Fellowship preferred. Associateship in the Society of Actuaries (ASA) is required for Life & Health careers, with a commitment to achieving Fellowship preferred. SKILLS Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Proven ability to apply actuarial techniques to solve complex business issues. Strong planning, organizational, and prioritization skills. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management capabilities. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, fostering a team-oriented environment. Advanced understanding of insurance and financial principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly expert-level skills in Excel.
