Department: Quality Care Rehab Employment Type: Full Time Location: Majestic Care of Toledo Reporting To: Erin Roberts Compensation: $35.00 - $48.00 / hour Description TMC is a dynamic therapy provider dedicated to delivering outstanding physical, occupational, and speech therapy services to long-term care facilities. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Rehabilitation Services Director to join our team and lead our dedicated therapists. Key Responsibilities Clinical Oversight: Ensure the delivery of exemplary physical, occupational, and speech therapy across all locations, focusing on quality and evidence-based practices. Compliance and Regulation: Enforce compliance with healthcare regulations, ensuring all team members maintain up-to-date licensure and certification. Staff Development: Mentor and facilitate ongoing professional development for therapists to foster clinical excellence. Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Promote teamwork among all disciplines, maximizing patient outcomes through a collaborative approach. Resource Management: Efficiently allocate resources to meet operational needs, ensuring both patient care and staff satisfaction are optimized. Support the Mission and Values of TMC and the facility. Utilize clinical judgement and data to enhance therapy care delivery and achieve desired patient outcomes. Plan and schedule staff based on patient clinical needs. Maintain open communication with the skilled services team regarding care plans that affect patient outcomes. Intervene as needed to ensure safe patient discharges and address medical condition stabilization. Assist with training on coding, documentation, and assessment to ensure accurate care continuity. Promote clinical programs and quality outcome reporting within the market. Oversee new hire orientation and ensure compliance with HR policies. Attend facility and company meetings as required. Ensure accurate paperwork and billing compliance with Medicare and company standards. Manage therapists for optimal patient care delivery and efficiency. Communicate any policy updates to team members to ensure compliance. Foster a positive work environment and promote the TMC Experience. Assist in maintaining and implementing special programs. Conduct performance evaluations and recommend actions regarding staffing. Lead counseling sessions as needed, with support from upper management. Ensure therapy department is well-stocked with necessary supplies and equipment. Comply with job descriptions, including meeting physical demands. Assist registered therapists in executing treatment procedures. Develop professional relationships with staff, residents, and families. Communicate relevant issues to Area Manager promptly. Perform other assigned duties. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Language Pathology program. Certified assistants (PTA or COTA) are also eligible. Current state license/certification. 2+ years of experience in healthcare, preferably in a long-term care setting.
