Registered Nurse - Neurology Outpatient

Department/Unit: Community Neurology Work Shift: Day Salary Range: $83,200.00 - $128,960.00 Position Overview: Join our dedicated team as a Registered Nurse in our Neurology Outpatient Office. In this role, you will collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers to deliver exceptional patient care in a supportive, multi-specialty environment. This is a full-time opportunity based at our Albany, NY facility. Key Responsibilities: Gather and accurately document patient's vital signs, promptly informing providers of any abnormalities. Collect and record comprehensive patient histories (Medical, Surgical, and Social) along with focused physical assessments relevant to clinic visits. Administer medications and treatments under the direction of a physician or advanced practice provider. Assist in in-office procedures related to neurology, documenting results in the electronic health record (EHR). Review and triage incoming test results, patient requests, and pharmacy renewals, ensuring effective communication with patients as needed. Utilize resources effectively to achieve patient outcomes and contribute to quality metrics for Albany Medical Center, New York State, and national standards. Delegate appropriate tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPN) or medical assistants (MA) as applicable. Adhere to all regulatory and compliance policies as per Albany Medical Center and The Joint Commission. Provide orientation and education to newly hired staff members. Engage in continuous education relevant to clinic specialty to maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills. Educate patients on their health and wellness, enhancing their understanding of their care and services provided. Qualifications: Associate's degree from an accredited Registered Nursing program.
