Registered Nurse (RN) | Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Location: Dallas, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,617 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PICU RN in Dallas, Texas, 75230! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: PICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Active RN License Certifications: PALS, BLS, ACLS Must-Have: 1 year of Pediatric CICU/CVICU experience as a staff nurse 3-4 contracts in a dedicated pediatric CICU 2 years minimum PICU experience as a staff nurse Experience with caring for patients with congenital heart disease Post-operative management of CHD patients Experience with management of arterial lines, central lines, transthoracic lines Description: Pediatrics CVICU Cardiac experience required for this position. Unit Information: Number of beds: 27 Number of staff: 90 Staff type: acuity adaptive model. Team cares for ICU and step-down level patients for continuity. Day shift consists of 2 charge nurses for ICU and step-down, 1 PCT, and RNs based on census and acuity needs. Night shift has similar staffing requirements. Patient ratios vary from 1:2, 1:1, and at times 1:3. Type of equipment includes IV pumps, beds, radiant warmers, and various monitoring devices. EMR used is Meditech.
