Role Overview The Network Solutions Presales Engineer will serve as a network specialist collaborating with Architects to support account teams, clients, and market initiatives. You will take a consultative approach, guiding discussions with clients about network platforms, and identifying how technology can facilitate their business objectives. This position offers a remote setup for applicants based in the Dallas, TX area. Key Responsibilities Work with account teams to assess the maturity of customer environments through comprehensive evaluations of network technologies and processes. Enhance technical relationships with OEMs and key partners. Train and educate sales teams on Network solutions and technologies through individual and team training sessions. Conduct engaging product training for both the Sales team and our customers. Assess customers' data center environments and infrastructure technologies collaboratively with account teams. Design and recommend customized infrastructure solutions to meet customers' business goals. Maintain technical partnerships with OEMs while staying updated on product innovations. Provide valuable product knowledge and technical education to the sales team and clients. Act as a trusted IT advisor to clients, closely collaborating with Field Account Executives. Manage the solutions practice pipeline by devising strategies for top prospects and new business opportunities. Identify technological opportunities in Data Center, Cloud, Network, Security, and Collaboration sectors. Develop solutions tailored to customers' needs and budgets through strategic planning. Engage with various levels of client contacts, including CIOs and IT Directors, for comprehensive account management. Enhance the skillset of sales teams on technical selling, service offerings, and current technology trends. Qualifications and Skills Solid knowledge of technical network solutions such as routing/switching, SD-WAN, secure access, and more. Ability to articulate and sell complex technical products by understanding customer needs and demonstrating the value proposition. Experience with products from vendors such as Aruba, Juniper, HPE, and Arista. Familiarity with software-defined networking technologies, including SDDC and SASE. Other Requirements A completed Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience. At least 2 years of experience with Cisco networking products and understanding of Cisco Commerce Workspace (CCW). Willingness to travel to SHI, Partner, and Customer Events. Advanced certifications like CCIE, CCNP, JNCIE are preferred. The estimated annual pay range for this position is $120,000 - $230,000, inclusive of base salary and bonuses. Compensation is influenced by job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions. Benefits include but are not limited to medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
