Position Purpose: As an Installation Support Specialist, you are essential to creating a premier customer experience at The Home Depot. You will bridge the gap between customers and our Install Field teams, ensuring a seamless journey from the initial inquiry to the final installation. Your responsibilities include monitoring job statuses, scheduling pre-installation inspections, managing job movement, and streamlining the service process to meet operational demands. Your primary focus will be delivering outstanding customer service while facilitating timely job completions. Key Responsibilities: 35% Customer Engagement: Engage consistently with customers throughout their installation journey, offering prompt support and follow-ups to enhance satisfaction from purchase to post-installation. 25% Collaborative Support: Work closely with both internal and external partners, including the Branch Support Center, Sales, and Installation teams, to resolve inquiries and assist with escalated customer concerns. Contribute to smooth job transitions and operational efficiencies. 40% Operational Management: Oversee the management of all open jobs including accurate paperwork handling, scheduling pre-installation inspections, coordinating payment collections, processing material orders, and managing service tickets. Ensure timely and accurate data entry while processing labor invoices for third-party services. Direct Manager/Direct Reports: This position reports to the District Installation Manager. This position has no direct reports. Travel Requirements: Overnight travel is usually less than 10%. Physical Requirements: This role primarily involves seated work with occasional movement and rare light lifting. Working Conditions: This position is primarily indoors with minimal discomfort. Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least eighteen years of age. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in home improvement or construction is a plus, alongside clerical or administrative experience. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with a focus on urgency and effective problem-solving. Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Preferred Education: No additional education required. Minimum Years of Work Experience: 1 year. Preferred Years of Work Experience: No additional years of experience required. Competencies: Self-motivated and capable of working independently. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Able to manage various tasks simultaneously while keeping accurate records and following up to ensure job completion.
