Hematology/Oncology Physician

Job Opportunity: Locum - Physician in Hematology Oncology Join a reputable outpatient clinic in Lapeer, Michigan, providing essential care in hematology and oncology. This facility is a satellite of a larger healthcare network, ensuring comprehensive support and a collaborative environment. You'll be part of a dedicated team that includes oncology RNs, medical assistants, and other support staff, delivering outstanding patient care. This locum position offers flexible coverage on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, aimed at bridging a recruitment gap while maintaining patient service continuity. Job Responsibilities: Provide outpatient clinic coverage for hematology and oncology patients Participate in clinic calls as necessary Manage an average caseload of 15-20 patients per day Utilize Cerner EMR for patient documentation and records Engage in multidisciplinary team discussions, including tumor board participation Support ongoing recruitment efforts for a full-time physician Supervise and work alongside support staff, including RNs, medical assistants, and a nurse navigator Qualifications: Board Certified in Medical Oncology and Hematology (mandatory) Current BLS/ACLS certification Active Michigan medical license (required; IMLC not accepted) Availability for the entire duration of the position Familiarity with Cerner EMR is preferred Up-to-date NPDB self-query (within last 30 days) for presentation License and Certification Requirements: Board Certification in Medical Oncology and Hematology Active Michigan Medical License (no compact licenses accepted) BLS and ACLS certification Experience the charm of Lapeer, Michigan, a city known for its warm community and picturesque surroundings.
