Job Details - Travel CVOR RN (New Haven, CT) Location: New Haven, Connecticut (06510) - New Haven healthcare jobs, Connecticut travel nursing Assignment Type: Travel RN (Travel CVOR RN) Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care, Level I Trauma Center Start Date: April 6, 2026 End Date: July 6, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 40 (Guaranteed hours) Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,870-$3,020/week Shifts: 2x12-hour shifts and 2x8-hour shifts per week (Day shifts: 7:00am-3:30pm or 10:45am-7:15pm) On-Call: Two calls per week (M-F), either 7pm-11pm or 7pm-7am; one day per week may require staying late Weekend Requirement: Two 24-hour calls per schedule Charting / EHR: Epic (Epic charting experience preferred) Scrub Color: Provided Parking: $125/month Job Requirements - CVOR RN / Cardiac OR RN Minimum 2 years recent CVOR Registered Nurse experience (1.5 years accepted with Level I Trauma or travel nursing CVOR experience) Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut (CT RN) - pending CT license accepted but must be active prior to start Certifications: ACLS and BLS (American Heart Association) Must be able to independently scrub and circulate cardiac surgery cases (CABG, valve procedures, TAVR, ECMO) Experience with adult and geriatric cardiac surgery patient populations Willingness to float within scope as needed (support other units) Influenza vaccination required (no exemptions) One professional reference required Responsibilities - CVOR / Cardiac OR Responsibilities Independently scrub and circulate for a broad range of complex cardiac surgical procedures, including CABG, valve replacements, TAVR, and ECMO Collaborate with interdisciplinary surgical teams (surgeons, perfusion, anesthesia, ICU) to deliver high-quality perioperative care Maintain accurate documentation using the Epic electronic health record (Epic charting) Participate in on-call rotation and respond promptly to emergent cardiac cases Adhere to hospital policies, infection control protocols, and patient safety standards Float to other units within scope as needed to support facility operations and patient flow Why Join This Travel Nursing Assignment?
