We are currently seeking a NYC DOB Licensed Elevator Inspector to join our rapidly growing team. WHO WILL LOVE THIS JOB An Expert Regulator who knows the NYC Building Code and ASME Safety Codes inside and out. A Detailed Reporter who takes pride in thorough documentation and accurate records. WHAT YOULL DO Perform Category 1 and Category 5 inspections and tests. Inspect installation and operation of elevators and related conveyance equipment to verify code compliance. Investigate concerns regarding code violations and verify that corrective actions have been completed. Interpret and explain rules, regulations, ordinances, and safety standards to clients. Serve as a liaison with Federal, State, and Local Code Enforcement agencies. Prepare and maintain accurate inspection reports and deficiency lists for correction. Follow company standards, forms, and procedures while maintaining a company vehicle. Travel to various sites and work overtime or off-hour shifts as required. YOU SHOULD HAVE Valid NYC DOB Elevator Inspectors License (Mandatory). Thorough knowledge of NYC Building Code and ASME Safety Codes. Strong working knowledge of elevator systems, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Clean and valid drivers license. Strong computer and mobile business device skills. Excellent relationship-building and communication skills. QEI Certification (preferred). Ability to provide a resume and professional work references.
