Locum Infectious Disease California Flexible scheduling Details: Location: Orange County, California Duration: December June (option to extend) Schedule: rotating 1:3 weeks per month (rotating with 2 other physicians) Shift: Monday-Sunday, inpatient consult service 7a-5p + call Call: yes group is establishing call schedule and can work with provider s availability Scope of Practice: 100% inpatient Infectious Disease, highly acute cancer related consults Duties: ID consultation is required for patients undergoing CAR T-cell therapy, stem-cell transplant, oncology surgeries (urology, thoracic, lung, colorectal), clinical trials (Phase I III), and those with autoimmune conditions related to myeloma or lymphoma. The ID physician manages infection risk, prophylaxis, fever workups, and complex or opportunistic infections in these immunocompromised populations. NO solid organ transplants or allergen transplants Volume: 3-5 new consults and 5-10 follow-ups per day EMR: EPIC Hospital: stand-alone cancer center with evaluation treatment center: 60-63 beds to start (73 bed capability); 8 bed ICU (20 bed capacity); 8 ETC beds Group: 2 other ID specialist, ID pharmacists, no APPs Credentialing: 60-90 days Require: BC ID, Active California License/DEA Benefits: 1099 Independent Contract A+ Malpractice Coverage Full Travel/lodging provided Highly Competitive Pay Rates
