Details Hospital-based Medical Surgical unit — a 37-bed unit serving a wide variety of patient types Specialties include gastrointestinal, urological, gynecological surgeries, ortho/neurovascular, cardio/pulmonary, oncology, and general medical diagnoses Night shift: 4x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM; 48-hour weeks strongly preferred, 36-hour weeks may be considered Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5–6 on nights; ratios may flex to 1:8 with LPN support Every other weekend required Floating to other Med/Surg units required, typically once per week based on unit need Works alongside a multidisciplinary team including RNs, LPNs, and Techs Requirements Active Michigan RN license required; pending license acceptable if ETA is provided Current BLS certification (AHA); pending certification accepted with confirmed willingness to obtain Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience required; 2 years preferred Additional Information Must be available for the full first 8 days of the assignment Block scheduling cannot be accommodated Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will be offered a local pay rate First-time travelers are welcome to apply American Traveler Job ID P-678791.
