Accounting Clerk This position supports an automotive dealership by providing flexible accounting and administrative assistance wherever needed. The accounting clerk serves as a floating employee, stepping into various departments or locations to maintain workflow continuity, accuracy, and compliance. The role requires adaptability, strong attention to detail, and a working knowledge of dealership accounting operations. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $20 and $24/hr. Job duties: Assist with accounts payable, including processing invoices, matching purchase orders, obtaining approvals, and preparing payments Support accounts receivable by posting customer payments, reconciling accounts, assisting with daily deposits, and following up on outstanding balances Help with deal processing by reviewing deal jackets for accuracy and completeness and posting deals in the dealer management system Coordinate with sales, finance, and management teams to resolve accounting or documentation discrepancies Assist with title clerking tasks, including preparing title and registration paperwork, submitting documents, and tracking title status Ensure compliance with state and local title and registration requirements Provide backup support for payroll functions, including data entry, timecard review, and assisting with payroll processing Perform general administrative duties such as filing, scanning, data entry, report preparation, and office support Step into different dealership locations or departments as needed to support accounting and administrative operations Requirements: 1-3 years of previous accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative experience Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and basic accounting principles Familiarity with dealer management systems and payroll processes is a plus Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to confidentiality Ability to adapt quickly to different teams, locations, and workflows Proficiency with standard office software, including spreadsheets, word processing, and email Reliable, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to assist where needed If you are interested in learning more, please apply now.
