Water Resources Civil Designer I

V3 Companies, a multidisciplinary AEC firm, is seeking a Civil Designer in our Woodridge, IL office, where you will contribute to career-defining projects that reimagine our built and natural world. And, as part of our Floodplain & Stormwater Management team, you will collaborate with 450+ designers, engineers, and scientists to make meaningful, effective change across North America Here's what you'll do: Water resources and storm water analysis modeling & design. Preparing floodplain/floodway calculations and design. Grading, site infrastructure and erosion control design. Participating in watershed, environmental, and wetland projects for private and public sector clients. Preparing reports, design plan sets, specifications, and cost estimates. Monitoring projects to ensure needed regulatory compliance, including the possibility of construction site inspections for compliance with erosion and sediment control regulations. Assisting in water resources permitting. We're looking for: Must be a degreed Civil Engineer from an accredited university. 1-4 years of related experience in Water Resources is required. AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS and/or MicroStation experience is preferred. Experience with modeling/ design tools such as HEC-RAS, TR-20, and XPSWMM are preferred. Understanding of federal, state, and local stormwater and floodplain permitting requirements preferred.
