Job Description

Project Manager Responsible for the execution of projects from award through completion. This includes being the main point of client contact, establishing and maintaining the project schedule, coordinating and directing the project team, as well as, coordinating and controlling all required project management systems. Regional/Corporate office schedule is Mondays through Thursdays (7:30 a.m. 5:00 p.m.), and Fridays (8:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m). Travel is required, frequency varies. Participate as part of the Proposal Team, led by the Proposal Manager, that is responsible to compile comprehensive, responsive, and successful proposals. Develop a plan for managing each project, including staffing, schedule, job cost breakdown, work measurement system, invoicing format, and document flow and control. Participate in review of estimates with Proposal Manager and Team prior to finalization to client. Establish a positive and open relationship with the Owner. Ensure the contract is developed, reviewed, understood, communicated to the project team and adhered to throughout the course of the project. Develop and implement a system for timely and accurate project documentation, including billings, change requests, information requests, schedule, meetings, transmittals, and work measurement. Interface with Project Engineer and Site Manager, as necessary, to review constructability of design with the goal of meeting or exceeding projected quality, cost and schedule commitments. Manage key project positions including the Project Engineer, Site Manager and Project Administrator, as required. Establish, organize, and direct the efforts of the project team. Ensure that Samuel EPCs culture, standardized management procedures and methods are being utilized/maintained. Ensure compliance with all quality initiatives and processes. Work within Company policy as outlined in the Samuel EPC Employee Handbook and in compliment with the SEPC Safety Manual, and OSHA Safety rules. Position requires serving as champion to the implementation of the Corporate Safety Policies on all assigned projects to assure a safe work environment for all employees. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed. Qualifications Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the flow and logistics needed for the execution of EPC projects. Demonstrated understanding and use of project controls systems to successfully manage cash flow, change, cost, schedule, and quality. Primavera experience preferred. Experience in working with various labor in merit and union environments. Possess the ability to organize large amounts of information into a coherent, meaningful format. Hands on experience in oil & gas, power, chemical, solar, and other similar industrial sectors. Must be able to accurately forecast project results through trend analysis. 10+ years of formal training combined with field experience in a project management role for large capital projects with responsibility for profit and loss. Bachelor Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, General Business Administration, or related field is preferred, but may be substituted with technical training and/or experience. Frequently lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Climb stairs. Sit for long periods of time. Occasionally stoop, kneel or crouch. Use hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate object.
