Job Title: Patient Finance Specialist Christine E. Lynn Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Patient Finance Specialist. This role is part-time and involves days at the facility located at 1611 NW 12th Ave, Miami, Florida, 33136. The center is renowned for its rehabilitation care, offering comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services for both adult and pediatric patients with spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries. Job Responsibilities: Interviews patients and responsible parties to obtain necessary account information. Performs bedside registration and obtains patient demographic and insurance information. Searches the Master Patient Index and assigns correct medical record numbers. Verifies insurance coverage and obtains pre-certification/authorizations. Calculates and collects patient liable amounts and explains JHS collection policies. Processes patient payments and maintains payment integrity. Secures required signatures for treatments and releases of medical information. Assists with appointment scheduling and patient documentation. Welcomes patients and family members professionally and answers their questions. Attends in-services and staff meetings to maintain service excellence. Performs other related duties as assigned. Experience: Generally requires 0 to 3 years of related experience. Comprehension of eligibility and authorizations is preferred. Education: High school diploma is required. A bachelor's degree in a related field is strongly preferred. Credentials: Valid license or certification is required as needed, based on the job or specialty.
