Job Opportunity: Locum Hematology/Oncology Physician in Hartford, CT Join a dynamic team at a prestigious hospital in Hartford, Connecticut, offering a locum tenens position for a Hematology/Oncology physician. This role provides an opportunity to work in both inpatient consults and an outpatient clinic. The facility supports a collaborative environment with a practice comprised of 10 physicians and 8 advanced practice providers (APPs), ensuring high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients. Job Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive care for hematology and oncology patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Participate in a 3-day clinic schedule, with potential night and weekend call (infrequent). Manage patient consultations and coordinate follow-up care. Utilize EMR systems effectively, including Epic. Collaborate with other providers to enhance patient care. Contribute to the educational and developmental initiatives within the practice. Qualifications: Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology (required). Valid Connecticut medical license (required). Experience in handling adult and geriatric patients is preferred. Strong communication skills and collaboration capabilities. Ability to handle a varying workload in a fast-paced environment. License and Certification Requirements: Board Certification is required. Must have a valid CT medical license at the time of submission (no exceptions). A self-query NPDB report is required and must be pulled within the same month of submission.
