Telemetry monitoring experience, including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every four hours. Experience with cardiac drips and reading telemetry strips. Description: This position involves floating throughout the hospital to various Med/Surg Tele areas. The clinician will be responsible for cardiac monitoring, managing cardiac drips, and interpreting telemetry strips. Patient care will include those in need of medication management and care for non-vented patients who are ready for transfer. The clinician-to-patient ratio can be up to 5:1 during days and evenings and up to 6:1 at night. The patient population includes those in the emergency department border and acute mental health unit. The average census of units ranges from 8 to 41 beds. Rotation between day and evening shifts is required, with 1 to 3 rotations to night shifts possible. The electronic medical record system used is EPIC.
