Event Specialist Creek Technologies is seeking an Event Specialist to support mission-focused programs by planning, coordinating, and executing high-impact events, conferences, and engagements. In this role, you will manage event logistics and coordinate with internal teams, industry partners, government stakeholders, and vendors to deliver successful in-person and virtual events. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing complex events involving multiple stakeholders and logistics. Key Responsibilities Support the planning and execution of events, conferences, workshops, and stakeholder engagements involving industry, government, and academic partners. Coordinate all logistical aspects of events, including venue selection, equipment rentals, transportation, catering, accommodations, and audio-visual requirements. Develop detailed event schedules and timelines, outlining responsibilities, deadlines, and deliverables to ensure successful execution. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to secure services and manage event logistics and delivery requirements. Collaborate with communications teams and leadership to promote events and increase participation through appropriate communication channels. Ensure events adhere to applicable protocols, standards, and organizational guidelines. Participate in planning meetings and coordination discussions to support event development and execution. Identify potential risks related to event planning and develop contingency plans and safety measures. Provide on-site event coordination and logistical support during events. Conduct post-event evaluations and collect performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement. Maintain and update event schedules and planning calendars for upcoming events and initiatives. Support the integration of events with broader organizational initiatives and strategic communications efforts. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience planning and executing large-scale events (300+ attendees), including conferences, conventions, symposiums, or training events. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills when working with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders. Experience coordinating event logistics, vendor management, and on-site operations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and event management tools. Proficiency with digital collaboration tools such as Google Workspace. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to support event execution. Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and a proactive approach to planning. Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced environments and meet tight deadlines. Ability to work independently in a distributed team environment. Education Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality Management, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent professional experience in event planning and management may be considered in lieu of a degree.
